CATTARAUGUS — September is a busy month at the Cattaraugus Free Library. Starting Saturday, Sept. 7, the library will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Many activities have been scheduled for the month of September. Here is a quick summary:
Knitting & Crocheting Club will be every Tuesday at 1 .pm.
Adult Coloring Hour will begin Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. All supplies are available at the library. No cost to attend. Stop in and spend an hour or two at coloring and relaxing. The coloring hour will take place every Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Pre-school storytime will begin on Friday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Bring your little ones to hear a short story, color and play a few games. This will also be a weekly event.
On Thursday, Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m., local resident Kim Burkhard will present on the benefits of essentials oils. Interested in learning about what oils may help with seasonal allergies? Stop in for this very informative presentation.
On Monday, Sept. 30 from 2-4 p.m., Dawn Bauer from United Healthcare will at the library for a Medicare and NY Health Exchange information session. There is no cost to attend and is open to the public.
Finally, on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 28, children of all ages are invited to Slimetember Saturdays! Each child will be able to make their own slime and take it home, free of charge. Registration is required since space is limited. Please call or stop into the library to register.

New Junior Fiction series include “The Upside-Down Magic” and the “I Survived” series.
Children’s new titles include “We Don’t Eat our Classmates” by Ryan T. Higgins and “The Day the Crayons Quit” by Drew Daywalt.
