LITTLE VALLEY — A Machias man pleaded not guilty Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to a string of felony charges and misdemeanors in connection to an alleged methamphetamine manufacturing scheme.
The Cattaraugus County District Attorney’s Office reported Tuesday that Daren D. Tingue Jr., 27, pleaded not guilty Monday to second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A-II felony; second-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, a class C felony; third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, class D felony; three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor; fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class B misdemeanors.
Prosecutors accuse Tingue of making the narcotic methamphetamine on Jan. 23 in the town of Franklinville, and possessing at least 2 ounces of the drug. At the same time, prosecutors accuse Tingue of putting a child in danger due to the activities and having a weapon.
The matter has been adjourned for motions.
