John Elsen’s biography was remarkable before he even finished high
school.
At age 13, Elsen became the youngest Eagle Scout in the country. He
would then go on to be elected Class President for three
consecutive years before graduating from Salamanca High School in
1943.
From there, Elsen would go on to inspiring careers in both the
military and private sector, raising a family and devoting service
to the city of Salamanca along the way.
