Tyler Hind’s list of postseason basketball honors keeps growing.

The 6-foot-0 junior guard from Randolph, Hind has won the CCAA East Div. I player of the year three consecutive years. But in recent weeks, he can add two prestigious honors from regional newspapers and one from the New York State Sports Writers Association.

After leading the Cardinals to a Section 6 Class C-2 championship, Hind has earned first-team all-New York State recognition in Class C. He averaged 24.4 points, 6.7 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals this season. He ranks second in Western New York history in career three-pointers made (294).

Hind also won The Post-Journal’s boys basketball player of the year for the Jamestown area, and The Buffalo News’ second team all-stars, which comprise all of Western New York.

Hind recently announced he received a scholarship offer from at Division II Daemen College.

Also from the area, Franklinville freshman Josh Haskell finished his first season as a starter by making the all-state Class D third team. The 6-foot-5 Haskell averaged 21.0 points per game this season.
