Super 8 Meet again proves to be top event for area athletes: Four Salamanca athletes compete in two events
Press photos by Jeff Madigan This past Friday night, May 21, more than 20 area schools sent their best track athletes to Salamanca for the Super 8 Meet. Four Salamanca Lady Warriors competed in the event - Christina LeBlanc, Mackenzie Hoag, Shaelyn Smith and Tess Follman. The quartet competed in the 4x800 relay to start the evening and Hoag later competed in the long jump (upper left). (Below, right) LeBlanc trails a Frewsburg runner in her second lap around the track in the 3,200-meter relay. The ladies finished in fifth in the relay with a time of 10:07 and Hoag finished ninth with a jump of 13’.
