SALAMANCA — Salamanca (2-0) won both doubles matches, one of those coming via forfeit, and had a win at No. 2 singles from Liam Long, to edge Frewsburg in boys tennis action on Monday, 3-2.

The Warriors’ Kendall Valvo lost a third singles match in which two of the three sets went to a tiebreaker. Luke Papke and Braden Skinner won first doubles.

Frewsburg opened the year 0-1.

RANDOLPH — Salamanca’s Jarrett Pond and Randolph’s Branson Morrison tied for co-medalist, both carding a four-over-par 40 over nine holes at Cardinal Hills Golf Course.

Randolph improved to 3-0, with Gage VanRensselaer second on the team at 44. Brandon Milanowski shot a 46 for Salamanca (1-1).

Brady Hill and Brien Funke tied to lead Cattaraugus-Little Valley at 56.
