CATTARAUGUS — Aly Hill scored all three goals for a hat trick in a 3-2 overtime victory for the Salamanca girls soccer team, beating Cattaraugus-Little Valley in CCAA East play Wednesday.

Rachel Chamberlain marked two assists, one on a corner kick and the other from a direct kick near the corner. Hayli Wilson earned the other assist with a through pass to Hill.

Hill scored the winner with two minutes remaining in the second overtime to avoid a tie.

“The defensive unit of (goalie Alexis) Palmeri, (Laila) Zolner, (Elizabeth) Stewart, (Rhayne) Smith and (Alex) Ricketts battled to defend our net,” said coach Michelle Hill. “This was the best possession game of the season and a win earned by the entire team.”

Palmeri made 11 saves.

Lauren Eaton scored twice for C-LV (3-8-1) and Izzy Deliman made 12 saves.

“My girls had a very, very, very rough start,” C-LV coach JJ Niemi said. “We were down a couple key players, and Salamanca scored in the first minute of the game.

“I had another key defender taken off in a stretcher during the middle of the game. It was a tough night defensively for us.”

Salamanca (4-9) plays host to Ellicottville (5-7) on Friday at 4:30 p.m. for the Warriors’ final home game before visiting Franklinville Oct. 10 and Cassadaga Valley Oct. 12.
