SALAMANCA — Winning nine out of the 12 events held in Monday’s meet, Allegany-Limestone claimed a 119-61 road swimming and diving victory over Salamanca.

The Gators took all three relays and Emmy Li doubled, winning the 200-yard individual medley (2:30.65) and the 100 backstroke (1:08.68).

Other event winners for A-L included Lauryn Ball (50 freestyle), Michaella Rhodes (diving), Brooke Pecorella (100 butterfly) and Paige Pecorella (500 free).

“We have been trying to find our strongest lineup — with posting 15 PRs (personal records) tonight — and we were hoping to get the team score a little closer than the last time we swam them but A-L did a great job tonight,” Warriors coach Laurie Lafferty-John said. “They dominated us in the 100 free and 100 back and (went) 1-2 in the diving and 500 free. We are looking for some more number one swimmers. We have some depth, but to win meets we have to win some events and the only people who did that tonight for us were Jordan Ray (200 free), Jayla Rasha (100 free) and Kaihalla George (100 breast).

“We are looking forward to our meet home on Wednesday with Chautauqua Lake. It should be very competitive for us.”

Also for Salamanca, Jem Yarbour swam a Class C Sectional qualifying time in the 100 breast.
