BUFFALO — The Buffalo Bandits traded the rights to defenseman Drew Petkoff and a 2016 fourth-round pick for New England’s 2015 second-round draft pick Wednesday.

The trade, announced late Wednesday afternoon and pending league approval, would give Buffalo the lower of two second-rounders controlled by New England, either the Black Wolves’ or Toronto’s.

Petkoff, 29, a Hamilton, Ontario native, played three games for Buffalo in 2013 and entered this season on the team’s Holdout List. He has 13 points in 28 career games between Buffalo and Toronto.
