...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT WESTERN WYOMING...
NORTHWESTERN CATTARAUGUS...ERIE...NORTHERN CHAUTAUQUA AND
SOUTHWESTERN GENESEE COUNTIES...

At 304 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates
of 1 to 2 inches per hour is along the Lake Erie shoreline from
Ripley to Hamburg and inland across southern Erie county. Some
thunder and lightning are possible within this band of snow. The
band will remain nearly stationary through 430 AM.

Locations impacted include...
West Seneca, Lackawanna, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Hamburg, East Aurora,
Darien Lakes State Park, Evans, Elma, Boston, Eden, Marilla,
Springville, Bennington, Colden, Orchard Park, Westfield, Gowanda,
Silver Creek and Alden.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 61 and 56.

Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.

...LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS
MORNING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations
of 4 to 8 inches in the most persistent lake snows through
Tuesday morning. Some additional accumulation is possible
during the day Tuesday.

* WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie
counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute. Heavy snow will
also impact Interstate 90.
