CATTARAUGUS — The Cattaraugus Free Library will be taking part in Cattaraugus Community Days this week. On Friday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m., the library will be in the parade passing out treats.

The library will also be co-sponsoring an outdoor movie with the Roberts Free Methodist Church at 8:30 p.m. The movie “Wall-E” will be presented on the lawn of the church. It's a great movie suitable for all ages. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket, bug spray and snacks to munch on. This event is free to the public.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, look for the library's booth at the Firemen's Park, where staff will be handing out books and prizes to all individuals who stop.

The library would like to host new activities but is looking for the community’s input. There is a quick survey at the front desk. Stop in and let them know what might interest you.

Upcoming activities include:

Knitting and Crocheting Club, every Tuesday, 1 p.m.

Winnie the Pooh’s Birthday, Aug. 21, 11 a.m.

Identity Theft Information, Aug. 26, 2-4 p.m.

Local author Lisa Musall, Aug. 30, 10 a.m.

The calendar for September is filling up too! Events include a Medicare Information Seminar hosted by a representative of United Health Care, Slime Making Saturdays and a presentation on Essential Oils.

Stop into the library and see all the activities. The Cattaraugus Free Library is open Mondays thru Fridays with public computers and free Wi-Fi.
