OTTO — The third annual Harvest Festival will be held in downtown Otto on Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 5 p.m.
Again this year, there will be a dinner at the fire hall from noon to 1 p.m. featuring local produce. This will once again be a donation meal.
Pumpkin carving will be held and there will be a sand (corn) box for little folks to run their “heavy-duty” toy equipment around in. The popular “Treasure Island” will return, and there will be raft races on the creek running alongside the fire hall grounds.
There will be about 100 theme baskets and also items auctioned during the day. This is an educational event bringing attention to the farmers who produce the food that finds its way to the consumer who only knows food as it is in the grocery store.
This is a family-oriented event, a time to meet with neighbors and friends. Don’t forget to visit the Madora Ball Museum at the top of the hill to see the numerous historical displays located in the former church building.
