The Cornell Cooperative Extension announces it will host the following upcoming workshops:
Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. This workshop is for participants who have ever dreamed of having their own farm operation. Topics covered will be broad and include enterprise selection, insurance, record keeping, marketing and resources for future exploration of owning your own farm business. The instructor for this workshop will be Katelyn Walley-Stoll, Business Management Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Southwest New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops program. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in animal science and ag business management with a master’s degree in adult learning and owns and operates a diversified livestock farm.
Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Are you a beginning farmer looking for opportunities to try a new enterprise? Are you currently farming and looking for a way to diversify your farm business? Join Katelyn Walley-Stoll, Business Management Specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Southwest New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops program, for this interactive workshop that will give an overview of agricultural production options in our region.
