The Pay It Forward group was out delivering food items and toys for area families in need Saturday, Dec. 21. The volunteers were generously assisted by firemen from the city of Salamanca, Seneca Fire Allegany Territory and Little Valley and Cattaraugus volunteer fire departments. This year’s operation was based at 73 Broad St. in Salamanca from where the boxes were assembled and picked up for delivery. Organizer Tim Jackson said they served about 109 families this year, which more than doubled the approximate 50 served last year.
