LITTLE VALLEY — A former Cattaraugus-Little Valley teacher has been sentenced to 90 days in jail plus 10 years probation for engaging in sexual intercourse with a minor, Cattaraugus County District Attorney Lori Pettit Rieman reported Monday, June 3.
Timothy R. Retchless, 40, of Olean, was sentenced in Cattaraugus County Court by Ronald Ploetz. He was convicted of third-degree rape and second-degree disseminating indecent material to minors.
The indictment charged that on or about and between November 2009 and December 2010, in the city of Olean, the defendant, being 21 years old or more, engaged in sexual intercourse with another person less than 17 years old and transmitted indecent material to a minor.
Retchless resigned from the Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District in March 2011.
